ASX-listed VoIP network operator, Freshtel, has requested a trading halt ahead of a company announcement and has been placed in pre-open until Thursday morning or until the announcement is made. I have a feeling that it is a “whitelabelling” agreement with a major retail chain, the question is: Which one? Chances are it’s either JB Hi-Fi, David Jones, Clive Peeters or Bing Lee. My money is on Bing Lee considering they are suffering from declining market share against market leaders like Harvey Norman and Dick Smith. JB Hi-Fi is also on an agressive run so they’re in there as a contender also. I can’t see DJ’s doing it, it’s just not their image. Clive Peeters doesn’t have a huge nationwide presence, but they’re also on a charge. Odds on favourite? My guess, Bing Lee..
